She is the author of “Smart Money User” and “Money Rules” - two books that reveal how your state of mind and beliefs affect how much (or how little) wealth you will have, or retain. She appears regularly on national television including NTV7 and RTM2 to talk on the topic of Behaviorial Finance.
Carol is currently engaged for the education project driven by the Central Bank of Malaysia’s Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency ("AKPK") to educate people about their finances. The education program prescribed by AKPK has been approved by the Ministry of Higher Education. The personal financial education program covers good behaviour and habits towards money, finance and debt management skills, and how to identify personal financial path, among others. She is also the co-writer of the "Money $ense" book, published by AKPK.
Carol has been recognized for her “Outstanding Career Achievements and Contribution to Society in the Finance and Commerce Sector” by The Malaysian Women’s Weekly Great Women of Our Time Award 2008. She has also spoken at the Asia Business Forum in Singapore and Hong Kong, Monash University Alumni in Malaysia and Singapore, TEC Asia Centre, Business Network International (BNI) Conference 2007, The Malaysian Secretaries Conference 2007, The Genome Institute of Singapore and Australia Universities International Alumni Conference 2008 in Singapore, The Pinnacle Academy Singapore, 4th Public & Business Financial Expo 2008 Malaysia and Management & Science University Generation Y Conference 2008, and the Attorney General’s Chambers Conference 2008. She is also one of the assessors for The Malaysia Small Medium Enterprise Award 2007 and 2008. Carol's mission is to promote financial literacy in all levels of society by educating them on the necessity of understanding their behaviour and how it affects their money, for better or for worse. She teaches skills that empower them to manage their money better through the use of simple and easily-understood tools and techniques.
Yeo Pei Li holds a Masters in Counseling and BA (Social Administration) from University Malaya. She also has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Satir's Systemic Brief Therapy from Satir Insitute of Pacific, Canada. She is a registered and licensed counselor with the Malaysia Board of Counselors. She currently practices at CAREERsense@HELP, a department that provides career guidance and counseling services to the students of HELP University College and the general public. Pei Li specializes in career, youth and family counseling. She uses psychological tools, such as personality and career assessment in her counseling sessions to determine one’s personality and career suitability with scary accuracy. She is also the main contributor to the “Success in Career Search” resource for those looking to get on the right career path. Pei Li's passion is in the prevention and elimination of career frustration and failure through education. She regularly gives talks all over Malaysia and has enlightened audiences in Indonesia, Cambodia, Japan, Philippines and the Maldives.
