Simplicity is good.

A simple to use and understand product that is also easy to create is like a god-send.

Your Prospects and Customers can easily buy it without having to spend too much time figuring out what it is that you’re trying to sell.

It’s a good thing for you because it’s very easy for you to create that product for them too.

Take the “American Idol” singing competition (it’s a “business” for its producers), for example.

It’s a singing contest, and the winner is determined by the number of SMS votes that he/she has received, with the contestant having the lowest number of votes being booted out at the end of each episode.

Simple. Easy. And a super-hit.

If you were producing this program, all you need to do is to determine the format of the competition (how many songs, how long for each song, how many to start off with, etc), decide how many judges would participate, decide who they are to be, decide the date and venues for the auditions, set up the phones lines, deal with the network, find the sponsors, and so on.

Those are not rocket-science stuff. There may be many things that need to be done, but they’re simple stuff that anybody with the right experience can do.

And so American Idol began its huge money-making journey and has done so for the past 6 seasons now, with the 7th underway.

Now “American Idol” is a franchise of “Pop Idol” which began in the UK.

Before long, many countries bought the franchise and started having their own “Idol” competition on television. It’s hard to miss the “Idol” phenomenon everywhere you go.

However, because the show itself isn’t difficult to create, it wasn’t long before copycat versions of it started. This has resulted in the “Idol” competition no longer being held with the copycat version taking the spotlight instead, with a different label, different number of judges, different format for the competition, but always ending with SMS votes determining the winner.

Some other countries never bought the franchise, but borrowed the idea and started their own version right from the beginning using all sorts of label except “Idol”.

Simplicity is bad.

(For the “Idol” franchise, that is.)

Accountants
Lawyers
Engineers
Authors
Musicians
Artists
Mechanics
Judges

Yes, they’re all experts at what they do.

But even better, and even more stunning, is the fact that the vast majority of them don’t have a web site at their own Personal Domain Name that bears their actual name!

Just do a quick check, right now.

How many experts around you do?

Right – few, to NONE.

But a Personal Domain Name for experts is a no-brainer.

Why?

Here are just seven reasons:

Reason #1: We remember other people by their NAMES first

Then we’ll associate that name with the company they work with – if we bother to do this additional linking exercise in the first place.

The company they’re associated with is USUALLY the next thing we’ll think of, AFTER we’ve got a name on the person, or if we can’t remember his name.

We associate other people by their names first and foremost because we need a LABEL to link that person with.

But a company can be home to more than one employee.

And its employess can move to another company over time.

Or it can die within 5 years (as most businesses do).

Whereas people have an average lifespan of 70-80 years.

And so a company is a distinct entity that is totally separate from the person.

Even if Microsoft is Bill Gates and Steve Jobs is Apple.

(They aren’t, actually.)

Because you’ll call them “Bill” or “Steve”, not “Microsoft” or “Apple” respectively.

It’s “Bill” first, then “Microsoft”. Or “Steve” first, then “Apple”.

It’s just the way the brain works.

THIS IS A FACT.

You know it is.

AND IF YOU’RE AN EXPERT YOURSELF, YOU CAN EITHER TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT, OR WATCH YOUR COMPETITORS DO IT AT YOUR EXPENSE.

Reason #2: The Internet Is All Around Us

And with the Internet being such a big part of our lives now and in time to come – a Personal Domain Name will soon become a necessity.

Practically everybody has heard of it and the World Wide Web.

And hundreds of millions of people use it every single day to do their research, find information or best of all, buy products or services.

And you can bet that shirt on your back that some of your Prospects/Customers will use it at some point to look for you.

Over 40% of my Prospects/Customers find me by typing my name directly into their Internet Browsers followed by a “.com” at the back.

That’s a HUGE percentage by any means.

And that’s potential Prospects/Customers lost if you don’t have a Personal Domain Name in the name you’re known for, especially when you’re an expert at what you do and people look out for you for help!

Reason #3: It Costs Less Than $10/Year

A Personal Domain Name costs only $8.10/year at this Domain Name Registrar.

For less than $10/year, your status has now been elevated to one that is higher than everybody else WITHOUT a Personal Domain Name.

You suddenly stand out. You’re different. You have something that is related to the Internet in some way.

You’re now cooler than everybody else carrying a cell or mobile phone but don’t have a Personal Domain Name!

Reason #4: Your Web Site At Your Personal Domain Name Sells Your Services For You

Your Personal Domain Name is the address for your web site. SOLOBIS enhances some of the best-looking WordPress themes for your use.

You simply focus on your content by writing about you and what you do, and selling any related items you may have there as well by putting up information about them and linking it to an order form for orders to be made via credit card.

And writing and publishing at your Blog for the world to see is as easy as writing and sending e-mail to your contacts!

Reason #5: You Have More Than One Profit Center

The SOLOBIS Personal Domain Name Plan comes with the “SOLOBIS Personal Domain Name Profits E-Course” worth $197 that will teach you more ways to profit from your Personal Domain Name apart from just selling your services/expertise on your Blog above.

Discover some other mind-bogglingly easy ways that anybody can do to profit from their Personal Domain Name – by simply using it!

Reason #6: You Get Express Listing In OMNICITI

OMNICITI.com is the world’s first Personal Domain Name Directory that only lists web sites with Personal Domain Names. It currently has over 620 links and is growing every single day.

Once you’ve posted a good profile about yourself on your Blog, you can then submit your Personal Domain Name to it for listing (just make sure you follow its guidelines).

You will be seen by others who are checking out other people for certain expertise or help, all over the world.

Reason #7: One Day, Everybody Will Have His Own Personal Domain Name

This is my brain-dead prediction – and I’m having lots of fun seeing it becoming a reality day by day. I’m sure you can see it too by now.

It’s been happening since the World Wide Web started – but it’s about to take on a speed it’s never seen before.

So get your preferred Personal Domain Name now before they’re all gone forever.

By being here, you’ve been alerted to the next great trend, worldwide.

What’s more, you can actually see it happening in real time.

You can increase the impact of the marketing offers of your business SIGNIFICANTLY by using SMS, short for Short Messaging Service.

If you already own a cell phone, you’re probably already familiar with SMS. Some smash-hit TV shows like American Idol are created to take advantage of this technology to generate millions of dollars of extra revenue directly from the SMS votes that will be used to determine the winners.

SMS use is more prevalent in certain parts of the world than others. The Phillipines is one of the leading countries in its use, where it played a leading role in bringing down an unpopular political regime (that’s a lot of SMS messages, for sure).

You can use SMS marketing in lieu of or in addition to e-mail marketing which has been discussed in my previous posts. And because of its great impact, it’s well worth the cost in sending them out.

I’ve used SMS marketing to promote my products and service for my businesses and I can tell you that it either outpulls e-mail marketing by a considerable margin, or enhances e-mail marketing manifold.

Here are 4 reasons why:

1. SMS messages almost always reach the recipient
Unlike e-mails where up to 50% or more of your subscribers may not receive it due to spam filters on their end or e-mail broadcast restrictions on your host server (to combat spam) or the unreliability of e-mail relaying through the Internet, SMS messages almost always reach your intended recipients since you’re charged for every SMS message sent.

The few times when your SMS messages don’t get through are when your intended recipient is overseas and he does not have a Roaming facility with his cellphone network, or when he has turned off his cellphone for a considerable amount of time (like a few days). These are rare cases, however and it’s safe to say that the majority of your recipients will receive it.

2. SMS messages almost always get read by the recipient
There’s nothing more irresistible than the tone indicating to a cellphone user that a SMS message has arrived for him on his cellphone. He doesn’t know what the message is, and he’s used to getting and reading personal SMS messages from his friends. This reason alone almost always guarantees that the SMS message that you send will be read by him.

Not only that….

3. SMS messages almost always get read WITHIN SECONDS after it’s received
Cellphones are carried by their users wherever they go – even in the toilet. Thus when they receive your SMS message promoting a marketing offer from your business, they can’t resist checking it out and they will do this within SECONDS – and sometimes within a split second!

4. SMS messages can get you an immediate response
Cellphone users are a sad lot – they’re slaves to the gadget, whether they would like to admit it or not. If you have crafted your marketing offer well, with an incentive to respond quickly via return SMS, they’re more likely to respond to your offer quickly than via e-mail marketing.

In short, SMS can greatly increase your bottom line but only if you know how to do it right – as I have done.

Stay tuned for more mind-busting business concepts right here that you rarely find anywhere else.
