Introduction To My Business In Your Pajamas Blog
I’ve finally done it, after resisting it for so long due to multiple business projects I’ve undertaken for the past 2 years.
I’ve finally started a Blog on a subject I am thoroughly passionate about.
The delay has more to do with my wanting to ensure that I fully understood the technology and what it takes to maintain one before I take the plunge. And I can tell you that it’s not an easy technology to understand, even to me who’s been involved in computers and the Internet for many years now.
This is not to say it’s not based on simple technology (it is, kind of), it’s how it’s explained from the various sources I’ve read out there that made it more difficult than it really is.
Anyway, going through the heavy terminology involved and seeing how things work according to the way they’re supposed to work and seeing if they can work according to my own business requirements got me searching and looking at many different routes. Some ended up in a black hole while others led me to the wrong place.
While it was a frustrating journey, I did eventually end up at the right place with just about all the answers that I needed.
And then once I understood what’s involved and how things could work together for me to meet my objectives, I needed to check out the numerous blogging software and blogging services that are available out there.
I had to do this so that I would be using the one that could meet all my requirements and objectives as well as provide me with the ease of use I crave for.
This involved setting up those multiple blogging software on my own server, tweaking the software to suit my requirements and then integrating them with my current web site before conducting the ease-of-use test.
That search ended with a Blog software that I had first experimented with – which is this WordPress Blog software.
And just when I had finally tweaked everything in WordPress that I needed to tweak, and tested everything I needed to test, the latest WordPress Blog (Version 2.0) was released.
Since I’ve not launched my Blog yet even though it was just hours away, I decided to start with Version 2.0 from the beginning.
Now this Blog hasn’t been fully tweaked yet, as you may have noticed. I haven’t created the Categories in the side bar on your right, nor have I added certain posts that I’m supposed to add.
But I will get to it, and you may be able to see my progress over the next few days.
I will be recording my thoughts on the “Business In Your Pajamas!” Revolution that is sweeping the world and will continue to do so for many years to come, right here. Don’t miss the action because it’s going to be an exciting one.
